PC Inspector Smart Recovery is a data recovery program for Flash Card, Smart Media,
SONY Memory Stick, IBM Micro Drive, Multimedia Card, Secure Digital Card(SD) or any
other data device for digital cameras. It enables you to recover accidentally deleted or
formatted pictures, videos or sound files from the selected media. The program also offers a
mode that enables you to check the media for errors.

IsoBuster is a CD/DVD and (Disk)Image File data recovery tool, that can read and extract
files, tracks and sessions from CD-i, VCD, SVCD, CD-ROM, CD-ROM XA, DVD, DVCD and
others. It also supports the following image file formats: *.DAO (Duplicator), *.TAO
(Duplicator), *.ISO (Nero, BlindRead, Creator), *.BIN (CDRWin), *.IMG (CloneCD), *.CIF
(Creator), *.FCD (Uncompressed), *.NRG (Nero), *.GCD (Prassi), *.P01 (Toast), *.C2D
(WinOnCD), *.CUE (CDRWin), *.CIF (DiscJuggler), *.CD (CD-i OptImage) and *.GI (Prassi
PrimoDVD). The program uses several retry-mechanisms to aid you in getting the data, even
if Windows is not able to do so. Additional features include Mpg (*.dat) Extraction, support
for file system properties, CDText support and much more. The vast majority of the features
available are free, however some advanced features like UDF support are only available in a

Keeping track of files and protecting them from loss or damage is a never ending chore for
any active PC user. Here is a simple utility that will take some of the insecurity and the
tedium out of finding, deleting and copying over duplicate or version files. With
Comparator, you won't need to open two Explorer windows to make painstaking
comparisons but you'll still have the Windows system menu available to you by
right-clicking a file. Here, too, is an alternative to the Microsoft® Briefcase. 508 K

Analyze and Recover Disks:
|
Win95/98/NT/2000/XP/:
Exposes bad sectors in Boot Record, File Allocation Table copy 1, File Allocation Table copy
2, and root folder on a floppy disk. Knowledge of location of bad sectors (particularly in the
system area of disk) is a prerequisite for using RECOVER Fixed/Floppy Disk. Now this has
been made as simple as child's play. A single run of the program is enough to show: 1.if Boot
Sector was damaged, 2.if and which sectors in the File Allocation Tables got damaged 3.if and
which sectors in the Root Folder got damaged or 4.if all of them got damaged and to what extent.
All appears on a single screen in a single run of the program. 18.5 K

MBRtool:

MBRtool is a freeware program that is entirely build with this one special sector, the MBR in mind. In
many ways the MBR is the most important sector of your harddisk. If the information stored in the MBR
is lost or is corrupt (especially the partition tables) ALL data on the disk can not be accessed by normal
means. MBRtool is the perfect tool for securing the MBR by backing it up to spare sectors on your harddisk
or to a file that you safely store on a diskette. Apart from this MBRtool can help you get rid of partitions
you can not get rid of, refresh the MBR bootloader (= fdisk/mbr), edit the partition tables in decimal values.
MBRtool can be used as a simple bootmanager as it can alter the partitions attributes like hidden/visible,

Scaven:

DOS:
SCAVEN is a micro-tool for data recovery. It was designed to perform unattended multi-string
searches through large hard drives. It records position of matches found to the output text file
in a sector:offset:match format (fixed size column). SCAVEN is an effective tool and time saver
in the recovering data from: files permanently deleted, files lost through overwrite, accidentally
formatted drives, drives with damaged MBR / lost partitions, drives with corrupted FATs, drives
which developed bad sectors. SCAVEN will not help if: drive developed mechanical problems
(strange metallic sounds), motor is dead (not spinning at all), controller failed (drive not detected
by BIOS). 5.5 K

XPME:

Win95/98/NT/2000/XP/:
Most older programs work as well in Windows XP as in the operating system for which they
were first created. Unfortunately, they do usually look dated compared to their designed-for-XP
rivals. Happily, XPME can give these programs a minor facelift that lets them use XP-style buttons
and other controls. It does this by grafting on a special resource (the common controls manifest).
The beauty of this procedure is that it is entirely reversible, and a "doctored" application will still
run fine on older operating systems with its original appearance. 343 K
